Lynette Hoy

Fire Chief • Lynette Hoy

Lynette Hoy is the Founder and CEO of Firetalker PR. Her fiery career spans 25 years including owning and operating her business since 2011. The Chief’s fire spans 25 years of working in different facets of PR, including working with award-winning Zuckerman Fernandes & partners, advertising and PR creative agency out of San Francisco. Lynette worked with National Institutes of Health’s Past President, Dr. Barbara Levine, to promote TUMS as a calcium supplement; securing media appearances on Good Morning America, The Today Show, CNN, MSNBC and local network affiliates across the country.

Lynette worked with a team managing over $10 million in PR campaigns, including: Alaska Seafood Marketing Institute, Kimpton Hotels, and Clos du Bois Winery. University Games (board game producer out of San Francisco) took her away from agency life and into the client side, where she managed corporate imaging and publicity and promotions for four game divisions as PR and Promotions Director.

Giving back
Chief Hoy served the community through the Employment Development Department in Oakland, California by teaching life transition skills and networking. She is also passionate about protecting the earth, which she supported while on the board of directors as Communications Director for Butters Canyon Conservancy (nonprofit) in the San Francisco Bay Area, (a land trust). Lynette has also served on American Cancer Society advisory committees for events, managing event promotion and PR. Currently, she sits on the National Association of Professional Women (NAPW) Seattle board of directors, and sponsors Business Theatre Live in Bellevue, Washington.

Christina Marie Kimball

Executive Advisor • Christina Marie Kimball

Christina Marie understands the most critical elements for business success today. She is uniquely equipped to coach clients through business transformations; having launched and led a variety of entrepreneurial successes through various “sea-change” advancements over more than three decades. Christina Marie especially loves guiding her clients through this foundational question: “What do you want, and how do we get there?” and then drawing out ideas from the “executive thinker” in all her clients.

Her background includes founding five successful ventures including a business consulting firm, a design firm, art studios, and a restaurant. Christina Marie also has extensive experience leading organizations in institutional settings as well as executive level work in the hospitality and entertainment worlds.

Christina Marie has three grown daughters and lives a bi-coastal life with her husband Alex between Seattle and New York. When her feet are not on land, they can be found on the deck of her sailboat with Alex, where she helps navigate the “force of the wind and changing of the tides.” These experiences serve as additional insight into how Christina Marie expertly coaches her clients about business and life.

Melina Palmer

Writer, Editor and Advisor • Melina Palmer

Melina is the founder of Defying Gravity, a marketing and branding consultancy. She has been building and reimagining brands for a decade, including at Verity Credit Union where the fresh, new “truth” brand launch nearly tripled brand awareness in less than two years.

Melina has always been fascinated by the psychological influences behind consumer behavior, which inspired her to pursue a Masters in Behavioral Economics from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. A Filene i3 alumna, she loves to bring innovative practices to organizations.

Palmer previously worked for an advertising and PR agency and has worked with clients across the country on projects ranging from book editing to ghost writing, to complete brand and marketing strategies.

Melina was the first individual to graduate from the University of Washington’s Global Honors Program with a degree in business, and her senior thesis was presented at the Association of Consumer Research Symposium in Hyderabad, India. Melina also loves to sing, and says singing the national anthem at a Mariner’s game is one of the coolest things she has done so far.

David Bialik

Videographer and Advisor • David H. Bialik

David H. Bialik is an Independent Producer, Director of Photography, Editor, Founder and Operator of Bialik Foto Werk. David has worked in video production for nearly 20 years, including founding his own company to serve the independent production needs of corporate and small businesses. For nearly 20 years David has worked in the video production industry, including founding his own company to serve the independent production needs of corporate and small business, just to name a couple.

Over the years David has worked with a variety of clients from feature films to medicine; his vast portfolio includes KVOS TV in Bellingham, Washington, McDonalds of Canada shooting promotional spots, and hand-held for KCPQ (Q13)’s “Mornings Live on Q” series.

Having him as part of our team is an honor. David has been recognized by industry professionals and awarded many times, including the 2015 Communicator Award of Distinction, Field Audio, “It Happened in Oso.” When he is not shooting video, editing or producing, he and his wife Karen are enjoying the beautiful outdoors of the Pacific Northwest.

Paul Hoy

Photographer, Editor, Videographer • Paul Hoy

Paul has more than 20 years of experience in photography, audio recording, filming, and editing. His career has been primarily in IT, and currently he is the Director of Technology at University Child Development School in Seattle. His expertise brings a lot to Firetalker PR; his patience and ability to help people through technical issues (from computer problems to working with Adobe Cloud) is invaluable.

Paul’s work in IT goes back to the birth of Atari, where he was a programmer. Before coming to the Seattle area, he was the Service Director at Oakland Unified School District, overseeing nearly 100 campuses.

While his career is in IT, his background is more diverse. Paul holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Golden Gate University in San Francisco, and his award-winning astrophotography has been on the cover of Sky & Telescope Magazine. He has also been featured in The Refractor. His unique ability to see the bigger picture from a marketing standpoint has made him a great part of the team.

When Paul is not working, he dedicates time to his passions: astronomy, hiking, and photography (often birds and landscapes). He lives in the Seattle area with his wife.
